If your Instructor has posted an Assignment in Blackboard and requested you submit an Echo360 video as a response, use the below instructions to select and submit a video from your Echo360 library.
The steps for embedding media for an assignment are the same as embedding any media into Blackboard, but this time it is done as a part of submitting an Assignment. Once you submit a video for a Blackboard assignment, it is locked and cannot be edited or deleted. You can create a copy of the video or download it. An Echo360 administrator can delete the video if necessary.
HOW you get to the Echo360 media selection page differs depending on whether you are in a Learn or Original view Blackboard course, or an Ultra-enabled course. Which are you in? Scan the sections below to see which looks most familiar. Both sets of instructions are included in this page. Once the Echo360 media page is open, you can select media already in your library, upload a media file to use, or (if available) use Universal Capture to create a new recording to submit.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND that the Blackboard instructions on this page are provided as a guide, and your Blackboard interface may differ. Refer to your Blackboard documentation if you need further assistance.
Helpful Tip: You MAY find the easiest way to create video content is through the Echo360 Mobile Apps. Specifically, the Mobile Apps allow you to Upload a video from your phone or tablet into your library. If you are not already a Mobile App user, you may need to create an Echo360 password to use with them first (Settings icon > Account Settings > Create Password).

Troubleshooting
If you are having problems submitting videos, here are a few of the things you may be encountering and why they are happening.
1) If you are in an Ultra-enabled course and you get to the Content Marketplace but can't find the Echo360 Embed tool to select, your Administrator may need to add the tool OR may need need to enable student access for the tool link.
2) If you are in a Learn or Original View enabled course but do not see the Echo360 Video Library option for adding content, this likely means that the Blackboard Administrator has not installed the Echo360 video library building block for Blackboard. See also #3.
3) The Echo360 Student Library must be enabled. If it isn't, you don't have any Echo360 media to embed, and you will not see the Echo360 Video Library option for adding content.
4) If you submit media for an assignment but do NOT see the media in the assignment submission after you are done, this typically means that the Blackboard administrator must also configure the system to allow Students to embed Echo360 videos.
5) If you encounter an error like that shown below, you can still click Submit and your video will be submitted. The error simply means that your Administrator needs to upgrade to the newest building block version, and indicates that there is no preview or placeholder for the item.
